Skin of Executed Used for "Beauty"

An article today reports that, "Skin from prisoners executed in China is being used to develop cosmetic collagen treatments aimed at the European market". I am not a big fan of plastic surgery and other beauty enhancing procedures. So, as you can imagine I kind of got a kick out of this news. I also find it VERY disturbing. How gross is that? Also, how safe can that really be?
